Strengthening Our Next Chapter: Welcoming Our Executive Director

The Salt Therapy Association has an important update to share with our community.
As our organization expands in scope, reach, and impact, we are strengthening our leadership structure to better serve our members and advance our mission. With that, we are pleased to announce that Laura M. Curley, MBA has joined the Salt Therapy Association as Executive Director, effective immediately.
This addition is intended to expand STA's leadership capacity while maintaining continuity in our mission, direction, and commitment to our members.
About Laura
Laura is the Founder and CEO of CANēY Salt + Wellness Studio in Holliston, Massachusetts, and brings valuable hands-on experience as a studio owner, along with a strong understanding of the operational and practical realities of building and growing a salt therapy business. She holds a Healthcare MBA and has more than twelve years of healthcare administration experience. Her perspective as a working studio owner aligns well with our community's needs and the Association's direction.
What This Means for Our Members
In her role as Executive Director, Laura will work alongside STA's leadership to support key priorities including:
- Hosting STACon Live 2026, bringing together industry leaders, practitioners, and wellness professionals in Miami this September
- Expanding membership and strengthening community engagement
- Developing educational resources and professional pathways for practitioners
- Building strategic partnerships that advance awareness and credibility for halotherapy
- Creating more opportunities for studio owners to connect, learn, and grow
Building on Our Foundation
Since its founding, the Salt Therapy Association has been committed to advancing halotherapy as a credible and accessible wellness modality while supporting the professionals and businesses that bring it to life. This next phase is about building on that foundation with greater focus, structure, and momentum.
Laura's role is an important part of that evolution. We look forward to the contributions she will make as we continue to grow together.
