About STA.
The Salt Therapy Association (STA) was founded in 2014 to provide resources, information, research and standards to support, promote and create awareness about salt therapy (halotherapy) for the industry, businesses, and consumers.
With over 3,800 members in 61 countries, the STA is the largest organization of salt therapy facilities, professionals, and enthusiasts in the world, including the United States, Canada, Ireland, China, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Australia, South Korea, and New Zealand.
The Salt Therapy Association was established as a nonprofit 501(c)(6) organization. It is a membership-based association and generates revenue from fees and dues, subscriptions, contributions, events, sponsorship, grants, and gifts from individuals, firms, and corporations.
The objectives of the Salt Therapy Association are to:
- 01Promote interest in, generate awareness of, and provide education about salt therapy.
- 02Promote and market salt therapy to consumers, including a Salt Therapy Directory.
- 03Develop communication, information, and media tools to promote salt therapy.
- 04Promote scientific innovation in the salt therapy field by sponsoring research in the use of salt therapy.
- 05Promote higher business standards and better business methods in the use of salt therapy.
- 06Expand the salt therapy business by encouraging the use of salt therapy.
- 07Provide leadership to improve and grow the salt therapy industry through the generation, dissemination, and exchange of information and services.
